Dorlotine - Birth Box

Emily contacted me almost a year ago to explain her concept of birth box. Her little email with well-chosen words seduced me and I embarked on this adventure with her ... A mumpreuneuse as we can hear at the moment. She leads her life as a mother of 2 young children and that of a business manager in constant progression. One of those women who inspires :) It's also one of the reasons why I chose to collaborate with Dorlotine. The brand is evolving super fast, new boxes, new premises, do not miss this success story.

# How was the concept of “Dorlotine” boxes born? How did you choose this pretty name? The concept of boxes for expectant mothers and babies is an idea that came to me in 2014, following my first pregnancy. I was desperately looking for good products suitable for expectant mothers but nothing was what I wanted. And each month the problems were different! At the time I was the manager of another company so the idea did not come forward. Then a large group bought my company, I took the time with my children for a few years and the desire to do business again came back. This time for sure, I was determined to develop this great box idea. As for the name, I hesitated for a long time. To finally retain one but it was really too long. Also, my husband suggested Dorlotine, which was a digest of the chosen name. It seemed obvious, it was Dorlotine!

# What did you do before? The click to get started? Why did you choose the universe for children? I have always dreamed of becoming a midwife, pediatric nurse, obstetrician ... The world of motherhood has always captivated me and even more so when I got pregnant. I even hesitated for a moment to resume my studies to do one of these beautiful jobs. But ultimately, my expertise in business management and communication as well as the team we are forming with my husband decided me to instead create an e-commerce around this theme.

# Is your concept a monthly or individually box? Explain the possible choices to us. The heart of Dorlotine is really to support expectant mothers and babies month by month according to their needs. Also our boxes are in the form of a subscription. The system is very flexible, you can stop, pause, resume ... We also offer individual boxes such as the breastfeeding box, the future dad box, the birth box, which are rather considered as gift boxes. to offer.

# You were at Maison & Objet last month ...

is it by going to trade fairs that you unearth the novelties that you will present? Yes, I go to trade fairs, I like to meet suppliers, discuss, see products, get advice ... but I also find a lot of nuggets on Instagram which is a gold mine especially for designers! # What products do your customers like the most? Beauty products, baby accessories? In the boxes for the future mother are rather the care products. They are really targeted so they are very happy. For the baby boxes, these are artisanal creations. Real little wonders!
